We just needed to ask
My wife and I had been praying for an opportunity to invite our neighbors to learn about the gospel. We set a date with the missionaries and then proceeded to pray for opportunities.
Time passed, our prayers continued, and the date approached. Finally as the date neared, we decided we just needed to go over and ask them, creating our own opportunity.
After a sincere prayer, we walked over and knocked on their door. We explained that for quite a while we’d felt a desire to have them over to our house for a gospel discussion but that fear and uncertainty had kept us from opening our mouths. We then had a great discussion about overcoming fear and they accepted our invitation.
We watched “The Restoration” DVD together and had a wonderful discussion. Now we’re looking forward to introducing them to the missionaries. I wish we had set our date sooner 🙂

Hey, Nathan. Great name!
I think the biggest victory in your experience is that you and your wife stopped waiting and said, “We’re creating our own opportunity!”
Way to be, as the scriptures say that God created us to be, agents that act.
Now you can create opportunity anywhere at any time!
