Wrong number?
My brother returned home from his mission to Mozambique this summer. Our missions overlapped, and when I came back from my mission his old phone number became my new phone number.
Late on Saturday night before he gave his homecoming talk, I got a text message from one of his friends saying, “Hey, is this Christian?” Rather than say “Wrong number!” I said, “This is Christian’s sister, Emily. I know he would love to see you! He’s talking about his missionary experiences in church tomorrow morning at 9 am if you want to come listen!” He replied that he would think about it.
To my astonishment, the next morning there sat in our family pew, my brother’s friend who texted me the night before! I got to sit by him during Sacrament Meeting and explain everything to him that was going on during the service before Christian spoke.
You never know who will accept an invitation — even someone who is texting the wrong number.

Love it! You took the “We cannot predict and should not judge” principle into even the tiniest moment. Great work! And way to take care of Christian’s friend when he came. Thank you!
